Hey Filippo...
You are very fortunate to have so many great tracks close to you to be aggressive on. The original Imola layout had fewer turns which made it faster but also more dangerous as machines were developing higher speeds.

Hi Flattop900, you're right, in fact the new version of this track is full of chicane, but remain great.
In my mind there are only two track that can be similar to Imola: Mugello and Laguna seca. Maybe i'm wrong, I leave this to peoples that ride all these tracks.
Ciao

Hi everybody
Misano was the last race of the season, great weekend with more than 500 racers.
I'm very happy because i get the start in sixth position on twenty starting, and i'm running the same lap time of people that last year give me ten second and more per lap.,
And finally i'm driving my bike with a wery good feeling, i hope this difference can be seen through the above pics.
Ciao
Filippo

Hi everibody
I’m back to think about Kokusan on my bike :
So this is my february post and the ducadini’s reply.
Following this reply I do same modification on my old scheme.

Feb 17
"Hello everybody
I'm planning to do a track electrical system for my bike.
I have a complete Monster 600 '98/02 electrical system an i would to instal it on my bike, reducing it at the essential.
So:no light and horn, no main fuse no generator nor regulator, but i want to leave the "engine starter motor" "

Ducadini’s reply
"You don't want to run the startercurrent over the main switch : You might melt the switch down.
One thick red one direct from the "teleruttore" to the battery.
Then You don't need the 40 A fuse to run the engine, think 10 might be enough for starting and running.
I fitted all ignitioncomponents on a smaller plate and reduced the wiring to the minimum.
One wire (coming from the "run" switch) gives it juice.
Be sure to make a good earth to the frame.
I fitted a 4wire connector to the pickups-ignition so that when removing the engine you simply have to unplug it without marking the pickupwires".

Considering the above reply i modify my drawn, separating the two red wire coming from the battery, and reducing the fuse. But i have still a doubt: can i run this thick wire direct from battery to switch "on/off", i have to consider the "on/off switch as a main switch and then dimension it accordingly?

i'm also starting to find room for my new electrical system

Thank everybody for your contribution
Filippo

Hi Everybody
Again thank Ducadini for the motivation.
I start to built this engine on last summer, after seeing on track a 513 ccPantah engine racing on the TT500 category.
This guy built a 513 engine with 650 Alazzurra heads and 40mm Dell'orto carbs and 650 stock cams.
And he finished the championship without great problems.

So after seeing this engine i start to think to do my own 513 cc, starting with a different settings:
Alazzurra 350 carters and vertical heads, 350ss horizontal heads , Elefant 350 cranksahft and rods, monster 600 '98 flat pistons and cylinders, 36 mm Dell'orto carbs and opefully 650 cams. Heads have to remain with theyr stock small valvles.

so this is the "Frankestein" engine ready to be sandlbasted, empty of course.

and after

raw head volume measuring for understand the compression, heads volume is 25 cc circa so 513/2 =256 , 256/25= 10,26 enough for start machining stuff.

hope you like it , more to came
ciao

Hi Filippo...
The engine looks really good. Does this mean another bike or a transplant into your current racer?
Regards...
