Almost ready to put the Laguna on the road. It came to me in '99 like most Lagunas with slicks and without directionals, rear brake switch and horn. I added those items and replaced the very loud (although I loved the sound) megaphone with a Selentium muffler. I replaced the standard wheels with the 16" Marvic/Akront items as on the Montjuich. I also replaced the standard discs with full floating items. In order to use the stock rear brake carrier, the rear Marvic was turned down slightly to accommodate. I plan to get a set of proper tires since these cruiser tires are getting hard. The 16" wheels suit my short legs and although most seem to prefer 17", I find that the bike loses its unique character. The muffler seems to allow the bike to idle better even with the lumpy cams. The Laguna has seen only 4500 kms. Also pictured are my '71 Scrambler turned roadster and my '06 Buell Lightning Long. That 1200cc Harley lump in a sport bike frame was genius.

Nice Laguna Seca and collection of bikes.
Is your bike a mono or bi posto? (single or dual seat?)
Can you please ping me with the chassis/VIN? I am creating a database of these great machines.
Cheers,

Nice brute you have there FF. I think those wheels and discs are worthy improvements over the stock Paso-like stuff. MikeV

Right Mike. I don't know why Ducati was cheap with the Lagunas wheels and discs. Tried to save a few pennies I guess.

Done. After not riding her for two years, I forgot how twitchy she is. I also forgot how cramped the riding position is. And yet it brought a smile to my grumpy nature. I'm in love again.

I know what you mean about love,i,ve had rc30,s,rg suzies, harleys, and I,ve liked and enjoyed them all, never took it too bad when I let them go,but I,ve had my Montjuich 28 years now and it,s stuck to me like glue. Can,t explain the feeling,my regular ride now is a Guzzi stone, which I use very little, but can,t force myself to let her go. Something about those Italians that get hold of you!! Cherish and enjoy your bike, she,s a real beauty.
