Hi Mike
Very good built
I love the seat and tank setting.
I have a question for you
Do you you install a full kokusan ignition system? I can recognize the black coils look like the modern one as Monster or ss.

Keep following your buiĺt
Filippo

Yes Filippo, all Kokusan. If you look just behind the coils you will see the connections to the igniter boxes. All stock 5 ohm. And using the light steel 600ss stock flywheel. Also got rid of that clunky aluminum plate holding everything. Easy to see, easy to work on now. I will add closer photos of that later. MikeV

Couple of closeups. You cannot use a Bosch-style flywheel because the timing bump placement is about 7mm different; cannot remember if it advances or retards, but does not work. The flywheel here is a mid-90s 600ss. Everything plops right onto the crankshaft. Once you have the parts this is easy. MikeV

Hi MikeV
Thanks for the close shots
Look to be a neat job on the coil area , also good for same further "fresh" air flow on vertical cilinder.
I installed kokusan on my track bike and it work good on track . I have a full system , included flywhheel from a 350ss i'm planning to install on a daily use Alazzurra..on a far future.
Ciao
Filippo

Made good progress. But the rain and cold has arrived. So bodywork and painting will now be delayed till spring. And I want to work on the track bikes for a while. MikeV

Looking good Mike!
Is that tank for a bevel?

It is a bevel design, but the underside is specific to the flat two-rail Pantah frame. MikeV

Well, everything but the charging system is working. Only getting 12.8V. What’s new? So, if it ever stops raining and hailing and snowing and… here, I can paint the bodywork and press on. Will deal with the problem later. Yes Lou, I have grounded the hell out of everything related to the charging system! MikeV

Great job, in my opinion if you lower the front end a bit it will work even better! I'd love to ride that bike! :)
Ciao!

I agree Carlo, and have been thinking about that front end. But i will wait till it has a full tank of gas and all the missing pieces, plus my butt on it, to see how it sits. Those stock 35mm forks are “soft”.
