Sounds like that engine will give you plenty of worry-free miles even with some heavy throttle riding. Although it may not break any land speed records, I think you are going to find it surprising quick with that exhaust. Perfect for the street.

Hey Mike.......
To my eye.......that's about as pretty as an old belt bike gets!!!! I love the look of the tank, seat, tail combo. I think the tank/seat/tail junction is fantastic. The tail is a little longer than most.....I like that look. I noticed the z stripe tribute too.......it definitely looks like it would have been built in that crossover era from bevel to belt. Voxbell horn and cev lights :-).....just like the factory built it. Great job......enjoy the ride!!!!

Hi Mike
Very good looking bike.
Love the low tail too it givve a 70's look to the bike .
Well done.
I'm curious about the engine. Nice combo of Ducati parts.
Expecially about the 750 f1 stock cams you installed, just because I have a pair of that lying on the garage from years.
Waiting for your feedback once you get a proper ride.
Enjoy
Filippo

Thanks to all for your comments, and compliments. Glad you are still out there. A few replies:

The tail sections seems to elicit a few thoughts. Yes, it is big and long, but similar to the one on Paul's Pantah project, and a design of the era. You really have to swing a leg to mount the horse. That is part of the reason I painted the back one inch and the top of the tail with this beautiful Kona Coffee (I call it that) brown/maroon, to minimize the visual size some. And I think it works.

It is amazing how un-symmetrical these aluminum (tank) and fiberglass (tail) parts are, and how they can drive you crazy trying to align them. At time you will think the frame is bent! But you have to accept it. I had one version of the tail a while back that looked like a banana from the top, and I eventually used it for filler parts.

F1 cams are not really special, and not high performance. They are "street" cams, of medium duration and lift, and only good for about 8,000 RPM before they say, "sayonara" - we are out of breath. But I kinda knew they would fit the small combustion chamber of the F3 heads; they are "bolt ons". And 8,000 will be good enough in this case. So...

Hey Mike...........those rear blinker side reflectors are suppose to be red in the US :-)

That rear shot/pic looking down shows the lines great. While I like the period lights......that big tail light isn't the prettiest piece to hang off that tail. How about a subtle mod to the tail light by trimming about half its depth out. So it would be the correct/original shape from behind but way smaller.

See ya,
Clay
