Yes, there are several options on the primaries Paul. And that would make a difference, and be so much easier to change. But the crankshaft I am using has splines, not the taper. So that limits me.

The late M900 trans is from 2.47 to .96, compared to 2.0 - 1.0 on the CR gears. And second gear is also not as tall. The top four gears are not so different. All would seem more “typical” when riding. Right now I cannot ride thru the paddock unless I break the gentlemanly speed limit restrictions.

I am going to try the one-more tooth on the rear next. And then look at timing and ignition this winter. Not going to rush to change the transmission. When it comes to shifting it certainly is slick!

Mike, what crank are you using, or is it top secret?

You mean you did not read all this from beginning to end? I even posted photos for those who cannot read. Thanks.

It is a 916 Corsa 66mm; the ones that start out with small throws and are very light. At first, I think, only these special cranks had splines on the primary end, and then later they started using that on most all of the big engines.

After trying the Avgas now at 200 jets on the V and the H carb. Funny, but I have noticed that these 900 engines (same on the TT900SS) do not seem to need more fuel on the rear cylinder like the small engines do. No clue why. MikeV
