Here are a few shots of the 2019 project: A true 583cc (80x58mm) TT2 that I hope might meet AHRMA specs as a starter project. This is NOT meant to be a REPLICA of a TT2, but just a good track day/race bike. I will not attempt to make it conform to every AHRMA requirement (I once dealt with tech inspectors in another world), but for it to be close enough that someone else can get it there if they wish.

I will start with 40mm carbs; heads with 36 & 40mm valves installed by Carlo; 900SS cams; HC 80mm pistons that fit the combustion chambers; Carrillo rods; a NOS wet clutch assembly; 600SS light steel flywheel for Kokusan ignition; 40mm Forcella Italia forks; vintage FOX rear shock; 16x3" and 18x3.5" Campy wheels (I do not want to hear about 17" wheels); Theresby floating rotors; Carlo rear caliper, TT2 bracket and trailing rod; and; Brembo 08 Goldline calipers up front.

And, just my opinion, but if you have the "opportunity" to buy a pre-painted or powder coated frame --- DON'T DO IT! This frame did not have a bracket for the steering damper, brackets for the V cam cog cover, or brackets for the oil vapor tank, and the brackets for the rear master, the mudguard, the rear master reservoir, the front of the fairing, and for the rear of the tank all had to be moved or modified in some way. Plus, the rear posts (added by me) that hold the tail in place were set up for Dzus fasteners, and did not come close the mating up with the inside of the tail.

Hi Mike, Okay, who did you get the frame from? I always find this happens from many people building replica parts. My alloy frame was missing one of the tabs for the oil catch bottle, the spools that hold the rubbers to hold the front of the fuel tank were missing, and one of the tabs for the shock surround. ORSP front subframes for the TT sometimes comes with the tab for the fuel catch bottle most times don't. Just more work for us. I agree with Boucher on powder coating, but I don't powder coat anything on TT's. I use single stage (no clear) urethane paint on the frames, swingarms, fairing subframes, wheels, cause they look original and are durable. That bike looks really nice Mike, is that my old fuel tank? Did you get it from Steve at Loudbike? It was really beautiful and was used on the first TT replica I built. Hand painted stripes! It was an endurance race winner! ORSP part. To answer Lou: Yep, the tank came from Steve, several years ago; I will do my best to match the colors. The frame is from a fellow in the UK whom, I think, is no longer producing TT parts. But his rotors will be on this bike. The fairing will be from another producer in the UK; it looks pretty good, and the forks will slip between the front opening of the 205mm-wide triple clamps --- I think. I am also going to try to use the vintage AP Lockheed front brake master/lever that did not work on the No. 8 small rotors. I got a "vintage" TT2 muffler from the UK too. So, a few Brit parts on this one.

To 750TT: I finally used all the grey paint. How about YELLOW wheels? I am a bit tired of gold and red ones. Like I said, this will not be a replica.
