Thanks Paul, changed a few things on the form. Leveled the bottom more for a better fit on the frame. Worked the aluminum more to take out all the dings and level all the surfaces. Evened out the flange to about a 1/2 inch all around. Taped it to the frame to see how it would look. Seems to be the right size so now I will do the inside piece. Lou

Thanks Jon, great to see you back! I'm posting stuff, still in it's raw state, but I figured you guys get it, and won't judge me too harshly! Here are the two halves on the form. I will trace out the center on some stencil paper cut it out and fit it as tightly as I can. A little more metal finishing and a baffle of sorts. Then weld and hope for the best! Lou

Happy Easter to all! Hardware came for the shock surround. I will change the washers when I receive them. I installed it. When I disassemble the bike I will work on the finish a little more and change the rubber to have a smaller hole. I always used this size with the Marzo units but the Ohlins should be smaller. Lou

Beautiful custom part Lou. Let us know the price when you go into production. Oh, and the electrical plate too. And the rear brake master pivot. How much for all four with an oil vapor tank. Maybe a “kit” price? MikeV

Honestly Lou. This will be a beautiful bike.

Hi Lou....
What's happening with the oil tank. Are you like me and hit a wall when it comes to welding?

Thanks to Cal and Mike, and yes Flattop that is part of it. The real reason is that during the past two months of contracted Covid twice! Talk about bad luck! Hopefully I'll practice some welding this week, but a few other projects have gotten it the way as well. Lou

Hi Lou...
Back to back Covid will definitely bring a project to a screeching halt. Hope all is well with you and your family. I've given up on the notion that I'll ever become a good tig welder and am going back to "mig only". Now all I have to do is figure out how to sneak a new welder past the wife!
