Looks great Mike. Do I see a Shindy steering damper in there? Good choice! I must have at least a half dozen bent ones laying around here from various crashes. They work good and won't break the bank to replace.

Hello Mike. That is your basic stock 900ss part, which is same as the F1b dash. On my first F1 it was trimmed above the tach for clearance. I am shocked because even my neutral switch and turn signals are working on the panel, but, the symbol for the battery/alternator is missing! MikeV

Hallo Bill. You are right, and it is the short one. Also seen tagged as "Daytona". If you set it up inside, and place the tube bracket just right, the short one works. But no adjustment on the fly down there. MikeV

Hi Mike
Your bike looks fantastic a real credit and i love the rim colour for the bike.
I just did a repair done on the same rims as you have and was surprised with what we found when we rewelded 3 small cracks!!!! took 3 full filler rods??? the castings were pretty dodgy. Con said they were around 85 percent magnesium, he welded them with 98percent rods from germany and checked them after it was finished for cracks. He is a really interesting bloke (80years young, toolmaker) and has has been welding magnesium racing wheels , cases and any other parts since the early 1960's. When i see him he has anywhere up to 40 rims and parts waiting to welded. They send them from everywhere and he said the best producer of magnesium parts/rims are the BMW race parts. He doesn't give away any secret and i have ask heaps of questions about he procedures but he is very clever not giving them away
Great bike and congrats on it
Jon

Tell him that, at 80, it is time to start giving up his secrets! MikeV

Well, it is ready to roll. Right now I cannot bring myself to put the holes in the fairing for the mirrors, but will have to eventually to register it. Other than that, it is done. MikeV Attachment:
