Hi Guys, I was working on an Old Racing Spares TT2 fairing and thought I would post some pics of my progress. As with all fiberglass some triming and sanding was in order. I made a cardboard template and cut out the lower 'v' section. I then made a template with 3/16 perforated steel for the oil cooler opening. This was a little involved because I had to get the steel shaped enough to fit nicely on the compound curved nose of the fiberglass. I used a curved hammer, shot bag and my super cheap wheeling machine and it seem to work out well. I also used the 3/16 holes because they are close to original and I could use clecos (temporary rivets) to hold the template tightly. 3/16 drill and a lot of holes later it looks OK. Don't push too hard on the drill bit, let it do the work as it is easy to crack the fiberglass. I also used 1/8 inch clecos to connect the upper and lower. Easier to fill small holes when you make mistakes! I hope this helps someone. Lou

Lou, how was the fit, the last fairing I got from them was really small! I had to cut it and add about an inch ( width)

No problem TT2. Yes Paul it is really small. I will fit it this weekend. I have two TT2's here, one with 185mm triple spacing and one with 195mm spacing as the later bikes had. I will let you know how it turns out. I have had this fairing for a very long time so I don't know if it is the same as the current stuff. ORSP has a habit of changing things over the years. This mold was taken from a genuine bike as the livery can be seen in the gel coat! Looks like Massimo Broccalli's bike fairing (did I spell his name correctly?). The TT1 fairing I bought from them was also really small and hard to fit. I have found seats and tanks to be a better fit with stuff from them. By the way Paul love the stuff you are working on! Lou

Lou, sounds about right.
Great tip on drilling the fairing!
I found an old epm decal if you need one.

I see it takes a lot of hard work to do it right. Want to sell the rounded screen (joke)? MikeV
