Looking good Lou. I have just hauled my TT1 fairing off to the painter. It is an airtech "Romanelli "version. I filled in the pipe cutout and built dams to keep the race scrutiners happy (oil retention).
My only comparison is to the Syds Cycle TT1 which we know is an exact copy of the original. The airtech is built lighter in weight and has no more fork clearance than the original...requires trimming around the legs with 195mm triples.. The airtech did have a little more space at the exhaust collector which was the reason for my purchase. I also trimmed 1 inch off the back "ears" of the windscreen for more head room in a tuck. Also trimmed aprox 1 inch from left trailing edge to have room for my boot to shift. Oddly that trim job makes it match the front/back dimension of the right side. The upper got some light trimming for hand clearance as well. Lou noted different subframe length. That dimension is what sets the fairing fore/aft. The bottom of the fairing cozied up to the bottom of the motor/pipe is what sets the height. The airtech fairing overall is "lumpier" than the Syds and will require some filling and sanding. But then again its cheaper.
Oh and I used light weight alum perf plate that can be formed with the fingers (not orig)

A nice, and very useful write-up Cranky. Good photos to illustrate. And the bike is going to be great.

So, will you be hitting the track with this: racing or track days, or both?
