Hello Paul, the battery placed in that place, is very good as a solution.

Your timing belt are very close .......mumble...mumble....

Thanks Carlo,
I have a space of 10mm from the battery box to the belt.
I believe that is enough for safety,I remove 2 screws and the battery box comes off for belt replacement.

Hi Paul,
Is that oil sight gage a new one of Elesa's clear plastic ones? To be safe, check the temperature rating on it. Back when we were racing AHRMA I replaced an original one with a cracked lens with a new all clear Elesa one. Checked it after one practice session and it was deforming from heat. Shit-canned it and moved the one from the timing side to the oil side and used the cracked lens one for the timing window. Because of the oddball thread size I don't think Elesa now makes one that is safe to use on a Pantah engine.

Oh, we have a dispute brewing here about the battery placement! Those new ones sure are light. Q: Is the rider going to use race-style shifting? MikeV

Mike, yes to the shifting.
For the battery on a track/ vintage race, max race time around 20 minutes I am not concerned about heat.
