Post subject:  Re: Ducati TT and F1 Forum - Bike Build of the Year 2014

Excellent Steve, the voting feature will make it fun!

To keep the momentum moving below are some images of a build - restoration in fact - completed this year by my new mate from Melbourne - Ross. Ross is not too much into computers so may not even see his bike here

Anyhow, (viewtopic.php?f=19&t=10837&start=10)
Owner Ross Hunter with his restored "pre-production" Montjuich racer - which has an interesting history! This is possibly the first Montjuich ever made! First shown at the Sydney Motorcycle show in 1985 and then campaigned by Bill MacDonald - see the image of the race bike below. Curiously, owing to this bike being a pre-production unit, it does not have an Mxxx chassis number it has an R number like a standard F1, though it features all the specifications of a Montjuich which was not released until 1986.

Ross shared an anecdote with me when we met this past Easter at the BBB. When he purchased the bike it was fitted with Lectron (2 stroke) carburettors.

Nice to see an old war horse restored to its former glory! More info about this bike here: - http://www.philaphoto.com/imageLibrary/ ... album=1252

Just a placeholder - All the builds submitted for 2014 should be posted as replies to this topic.

...Still working on figuring out a voting/survey function.

Interesting machine, Mike. Romanelli has #00000 Montjuich in Montreal - the same one that was tested by Cycle World and ridden to a win in the La Carerra by Steve Anderson back in the day.
