hi i am building a bevel twin race bike and was wondering if a set of M1R 41.7mm front forks are much better than a set of 38mm marrzocchis with works performance internals which i was planning to use.

they are better if you set them up properly.
As you have to do with all forks.
I used a set on a bot racer in the eighties and by that time it worked fine after some dribbling with oilweight and airgap.
Cant remember how much and so.

But i have cnc yokes for the bevels if you are interested,also 41,7 for the M1r.
Fits straight in.

Aswell as some magnesiumparts,i race bevels myself.

they brought my 38 Marzocchi to an up-to-date level. New linear springs, rebound and compression can now be adjusted. Works just fine!

Last week Robbie and I were down in NC to ride in the mountains. Tuesday was a wash out, so we visited Rick's shop in Asheville and picked up the Garage Find's completely reworked Fox shock. Rick has also reworked a set of M1R's with cartridges for the Adamo Tricolor racer. If you're in the U.S., we highly recommend him.
