Another benefit of those bulges could be that they prevent an oscillation of the (otherwise very long) studs.

Hello Ducati people, a bit more progress on the Hammer. Made the pushrods and set up the head clearances. Sorted out clutch which is a modern type xr wet clutch. Finalised the peg brackets and levers. So hopefully it will be in the frame in the new year. I have the crane booked. Have a safe Christmas and new year and I’ll see you next year. Boucher.

What a machinist/welder/mechanic work of art. Wish I could touch it, and put a wrench on it. And when you get to next year it will be summer! Enjoy the holidays and have fun. MikeV

Wow! I'm with Mike! What a result! Great job as always Chris. This makes me want to look at the original in more detail. So much custom fabrication. Can't wait to see it in the frame. Happy Holidays! Lou

Hello Ducati people, I’ve been burning the midnight oil trying to finish this build. Lifted and fitted up engine and all the plumbing. Got to make a few spacers to get clearance’s right. Got make or source a offset front sprocket to get alignment right. Hopefully next time you hear from me it will be finished. Boucher.
