The thing is, Lou, that the TT that Lucky rode and lost the Daytona race to Church and LH was butt ugly. Really looks like parts the factory found and randomly stuck on it, kinda like the Johnny Cash car he built from the parts he pilfered from the factory. MikeV

OK, maybe it isn't that bad. But it is confused. MikeV

Hi Lou, mike and Graeme. As I’ve said before the AMA BOTT/ PROTWINS was the best series for modified home brewed twin specials. We all talk about them and read about them. And We love them. Lucky lucchinelli v gene church. Bellissimo. I’ll get back onto the alchemy. Not enough hours in the day. Boucher.

Hi!

Lots of Amercians on the forum and it is interesting (read nice!) to see how loyal and devoted you are to Harley being Ducati enthusiasts!

When working for Ducati during the first half of 2000 my colleague Henrik (responsible for aftersales) built an XR750 for classic racing. It was fast and successful but the dream to bring it to Daytona was unfortunately never realized. It had a ”beef” for several seasons with the Blue Lunatic bevel Ducati, which do have some fame from Daytona.

It is featured in some magazines, but at the moment I only managed to get a couple of photos taken form one of them. It has been with collectors the last 15 years, but now there is a campaign to have it out on track again. Lets see what happens, I have a half offer to ride it... :D

Chris is an incredible craftsman, and I agree on the BOTT series. My favorite bikes are from that series. That being said, I have often thought about building a replica of this TT, I actually like how strange it looks Mike. So who can tell me what the front calipers are? FO9's in black? Right hand shift, TT1 bodywork but a steel swingarm, endurance tank. I have most of the parts that I've been saving for a rising rate TT1 that looked like a factory prototype, but I could change my mind. I don't have enough projects! Thanks for the inspiration Chris, glad you are back. By the way Graeme that was a great line! Lou
