The starter button on the handlebar ? It seems to come from an old british bike. Gilles Lachance Québec City |

Good try and well spotted Gilles, but not quite right. This part is real unobtanium. Certainly worth a deal more than the whole thing. |

OK chaps, I will put you of this misery. If you look at the crooked 'central' stem it is cleverly designed to be removable for ease of storage and transportation. You can spot at the lower end it is connected to the rest of the contraption by -------------- A quick release caliper button from a set of race four pots. Rocking horse doo daa. Why, in the midst of all the scrap iron, did he not use a bent, rusty nail ? I love and cherish this fabulous curiosity, with its precious golden heart. And secretly hope Steve will maybe forget he brought it round despite him dragging it half way round the world with him and long since sold off just about everything else. |

Yeah, you wait at the bus stop for ever, then two come along at once. Now I have the original item I'm thinking of running a batch on the cnc's. Maybe I should go the whole way and make the lh/rh caliper mount brackets too. Is there any interest out there ?? |

I can't say for the GP items, but I'd settle for some decent adaptor plates for fitting P08 calipers to the 35mm mag marzocchis! |
