There is one a few miles from me for sale too, He is asking 28k! Makes me kind of regret turning my '77 into a race bike but the 20yrs. of racing it and embarrassing modern 4cyls. with it make it worth it. |

Thank you. They're pretty special bikes, nothing else really like them. I think getting rid of your bevels is sort of like quitting smoking. You may not be successful the first attempt or two. I think I can do it this time, but I know the occasional urge to light one up will never go away. On top of that, I think this one has been my all time favorite. Bill |

Hello Bill, That is one very beautiful '80 SS !!! I had one and wish I still did but they are way out of my reach these days.  I travelled around Australia on mine when I was a lot younger. I tell my 26 year old son about what they are like to ride and if he ever gets a chance to ride or buy one DO IT... I hope you get what it's worth and it goes to a new owner who will look after it like you have. These things are only on loan to us to look after for the next generation. Regards Graeme |
