I had to do the 750 as per original first to keep my investor (wife) happy, but now I can hot rod it with the suspension, wheels and pipes etc. Once it's been run in of course.

I suspect that your Saftune MHR racer is a pretty trick machine, did you race it back in the day? I remember admiring the Saftune bikes at Winton back in the 80s.

'and nice collection you have, though it seems to be lacking in a specific genre of Ducati. :!: Do you have any purchases planned for a belt drive classic also?

Cheers,
Mike,

Coda is a Rottweiler cross Labrador and is an eager to please softy, while his sister Scarlett (not shown) is cute but not very energetic.

There is a belt drive in the garage too, it's a 2002 748r I bought new and have done about 40,000 k's on so far. And a MHR I bought myself as a poor geology student as my 21st present to myself back in 1982. It took all my money earned working in a coal mine for six months while studying to afford it, and it's still my favorite.

The photo of the mille at lakeside was when I raced it as it has my number (37; or 137; or sometimes 33 if some A grader selected my number) as Barry Hartshorne was always 157. I only raced it for a few months while waiting for my F1 750 to be finished. You may recognize the forks and 16" wheel from an F1 in that photo that belonged to my unfinished race bike.

But then at 6' 1" I realized I was too big for a Pantah. So it was back to the future to build my 900 bevel in the old Saftune DASPA frame Saf sold me (that i raced at bathurst in 1993) then I bought the mille engine from his estate after he passed away late in 93. So it's our 20 anniversary this year.

Great bevel collection - I am a bevel fancier myself with 3 in the shed.
In the paperwork that came with my 86 F1 was a receipt from Saftune in 1989 for head porting work.
He did a quality job on the heads.
