I also managed to replace the stock paioli shock absorber with a pair of longer marzocchi, fully renewed.
Marzicchi are 36 cm from hole to hole. Hope to gain in handling , a short ride gave me good feedback.
Ciao Filippo

Finally I had a great ride! 3 hours and a half of happiness.
Longer rear shock give better handling, leaving stability inhaltered.
A fun and fast bike. Now properly setted for curvy mountain roads.

Bike looks good in its native surroundings. Are there many red and green Pantahs in Italy and does this mean you've given up on racing?
Regards....

Hi Flattop.
Thank you. I appreciate your feedback on the bike.

Red Pantah are , imho, pretty common in Italy. You may find a bunch for sale on italian online shop like Subito.it

I rode on my trial, toward a gas station , 1 our to my place, were I know the owner keep on his garage a red Pantah from years.
So I went to him to show my bike.
Another red Pantah is on the city close to mine.
The withe Pantah I brought hears ago is in real a red and green Pantah ( I can se the red on the back if the fuel thank).

Red and green painted fairing is not a precious owner mod. But I am sure a few bike went out from the ducati factory like mine.
You may have confirmation of the above on a short ceck online.

I do not have any confirmation but, My personal point on the difference in the fairing setting is simple.: At one point Ducati went out of stock of fairing sticker for red Pantah ( sticker are green and different in colour from silver bikes). Then they decided just to spray a green coat over red fairing. And put a withe line to split the two color. And by the way remind the MHe 900
Easy and very Ducatist.

This is my version of this tale if there is a forum member with a solid alternative I will be more than happy to ear the truth

Ciao Filippo
