I was perusing my copy of “Postwar Independent Motorcycle Framemakers” last night and was reminded of the aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis that Segale constructed at the request of Ing. Taglioni as an apparent proof of concept. The engine employed for this concept is described as “the A.D. Elle engine”. The only picture of the subject in the book describes the engine as a 750cc Ducati Desmo. What is the “A.D. Elle engine”? Never heard of such a thing. There are a few misprints and bits of mis-information in the book, but this is way out in left field.

Don't know about the A.D. but the bevel engine was described as an L-engine. In Italian : Elle  .
