The NCR version is 25mm Lou. But it is light. And thin, as I found out with my MIG welder! Yes, sorry, I had to modify a few things.

Shouldn't be too difficult to identify it as a modified Pantah : the right lower frametube is dented to make the beltcover come off more easily. That means some cutting and welding and grinding to put in a straight one. Together with all the reangled tubes and reinforced enginemounts, would take a bit more work. Is it worth it ?

Having both Pantah and Alazurra and NCR frames here, I do not think the stock frames can be modified and fool anyone. There really are a lot of notable and subtle differences that cannot be hidden. I think the Maxton (Rutter/Slinn IOM No. 8) and John Sears frames are good examples of modified frames though. MikeV Attachment:

Hi Mike, I think the Sears frame is a Wolf frame custom built in Canada. That is a beautiful bike. Lou

Ooooh. Got me there Lou. Yes, a Wolf frame. But as I stare at it, and other photos of it, I still think it was a modified Pantah frame, as Maxton did on the No8 for the 1981 IOM F2 winner. I even think some things were "borrowed" from the Maxton work. The swingarm was certainly different, but some of that looks like stock Pantah to me, with some Harris TT design thrown in; it still has the bump where the rod for the caliper holding rod is placed. Who knows. MikeV Attachment:
