The original idea with building the wheel was to buy a carbon fibre rim from Saxon, but the were all gone and all they had left was an aluminum rim, so I took that, unseen and not knowing if I could use it. It turned out that it was a great deal deeper in the center, so the 16” hub from the Montjuich wheel was not far off. We welded a small extension to the already existing edge and machined it and drilled to tolerance. It has worked really well, the bolts have not come loose, it is round and aligned. A bit heavy for racing, so I am considering fitting it to my F1, but then I need e front to pair it with. Lets see what happens...
