Call me crazy, but this one is in the wings too; an [original] NCR framed TT2 bike. Right now it will start with the well-built 650cc engine that was in the No 8 Slynn/Rutter/Wynne 1981 IOM rendition I built in 2011 (seen here as a fitting mule --- sorry Pat). And the tank/seat combo from Huit was the real clincher. I am sure it will evolve over time, but I can "see" it now; I am thinking about using that BRIGHT green on the frame and swingarm! MikeV

Hi mike, you have got all the ingredients to make something nice. Are they 35mm marzocchi forks you are going to use? Boucher.

Hello Boucher. They are 38mm; problem is they are for 4-puck 40-mm calipers on 300mm rotors 120mm on center. That is a bit of a problem using the older wheels and vintage rotors, which are much wider at the hub. So some special adapters will have to be made to use Goldline 08s. MikeV

Hey Mike, how about turning the swingarm upside down & mount the shock under the motor - like the cobas do ?
... 2 hrs later. Sorry I was wrong about the cobas, but it is still interesting.
The bike I'm thinking of was a japanese bike, but I can't remember any more.

The Bob Brown bike built by Rod Tingate had it, the photo's don't reveal much - but it is stunning !
I have been buying bits & pieces off Rod for years, but no idea how talented he is until 2 yrs ago when I read the story about the
Keiser ? (or a name like that) gp bike built with an outboard motor. Then I saw the B.Brown bike recently.
Wow, mucho respect for that guy.

There is the Britten, but it would be nice to be re-producing something that was a ducati. :)

That would be a Konig 4cylinder boxer twostroke with a single rotating disc on top served by a downdraft Weber, or at least on the Konig used in the classic scene here in the lower parts of Europe.

Included a pic of a friend/opponent at Francorchamps (86 or 87) . Surely inspired by the Cobas, he did all the mods himself. Luckely (for me) the "swingarm" limited his groundclearance so that gave me (on a roundcase) an edge :-)

ciao
