Just doing a conversion using rashed F3 frame and converting it to TT900 frame. Using frame plates so it will take 900ss rear sets and decided on a frame loop behind the rear of the seat that will carry the battery box under it. Unfortunately the workshop is my pump shed so most of the work happens outside

Cool looking project Marc! It is interesting to see some creativity around chopping the chassis.

My favourite is Steve's rising rate rear end below (compliments to Palmer on his ingenuity!), and another conversion on a Supersport.

I made the rear frame loop up to give the seat (or my bulk) a little more support, I set it up for Paul Smart Battery box but it is pretty bulky so will go for something smaller.

The frame was $350 and had the original footpeg mounts ripped out so did not really feel too shy about modifying it. Motor is $100 900SS that I picked up in Japan, have Ohlins shock and M1Rs for the sharp end. Did half the instrument mounts but it got too windy to TIG weld.

Yeah I am just using up a lot of parts that were sitting about so it is a bit of a leftovers bike. I have M1R front end off 851, Ohlins shock assortment of 900ss wheels and brakes so moving forward. Frame is almost at powder coating stage.

well frame is ready for final welding and the motor is all cleaned up ( motor was $100, and looks decent). I only have a set of 39 FCR standard carbs (not angled) in my war chest so will have to come up with some creative plumbing on the inlets to angle them down a bit.

Also have the usual pain in the ass from creating axles and spacers, I want to combine later 900SS bearing sizes with whatever they used on the 400SS swingarm and 851 front end.

It's looking great! The yellow tank was a bold move and it really suits the bike ;)
