Nice stuff Mike - I think its going to be one fine looking and riding machine when you're done.

Try using marine fairing putty, better for fibreglass, after applied give it a wipe with acetone, and it sands much nicer!!!

Chapter 5: By the photos posted recently it looks like a lot of work got done by others, so; took the frame, swingarm and instrument bracket into the paint dungeon (looks like something from Silence of the Lambs or some other horror movie to me) for epoxy primer and urethane top coat. Fabricated the battery holder, electrical panel, and some switch brackets. Found a place for the solenoid, and used an empty flax seed oil bottle (my wife thinks she will live forever) for the oil vapor tank. Stuck some things together for fun. MikeV

Honestly, I cannot remember Clinton. It is a Renthal, 38 tooth 520, for a 900SS et al. I am a packrat, and probably bought it off eBay cheap, figuring it would be used eventually.

Carlo. I had to cut the bottom off the tank to clear the front carb. I will have to tip the bike, or brake very hard, to get some of the fuel at the back/bottom of the tank to the taps. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do (as Casey Stengel or Yogi Berra would say). Only the coils are Dyna, all else is Ducati.

Chapter 6: This is where it gets exciting; I get the "accessorize" the frame. Bit by bit the pile of parts gets smaller and the bike gets bigger. Starting to see it. One change is that to insure I get it done in time to make the Symposium I am going to use a nearly-stock (900SS cams, Nichols flywheel, Kokusan pickups and ignition, 40mm Dellortos) 800SS engine instead of a built-up 900SS. I will build the bigger engine in the winter, at a relaxed pace. I can hardly wait to put it on the floor and put the bodywork on. MikeV
