In the spirit of incrementalism I have made a few changes. Finally found a nice big-bore exhaust collector system in Italy. And decided that maybe I could slow down later at the end of long straightaways with better calipers, pads, and rotors. MikeV

More or less, she works just fine. Six years running now. MikeV

After eight years of taking this to track days I have decided to re-purpose it as a street bike in the style of a Bol d’Or racer. Got all the right lights and new stainless baffled mufflers ready to go, and added a speedo. Only need to sort out the wiring harness from some unknown Ducati (I think) model; you can tell I have no clue where that is going. Might get this sorted out by spring. Sorry for the cluttered photos, but Aynsley is still off for the holidays. MikeV

I think these are upright now.

Electrical?!?! I know how much you like it. You must be really enjoying yourself. I guess your street bike mod will also include a rear tail light. All new fiber glass or minimal modification of the originals?
Regards...

Using the existing bodywork; it is all just fine. It will be for backroads, not the Interstates. Going to have a big’ol funky 1970-80s tail light sticking up at the back like a Laverda SFC, but with small turn signals. And no cafe’ gaudy (LEDs) lighting stuff. The big eyeballs up front (PIAA) actually look good if you can dig the Bol d’Or style. Added an aluminum sidestand that works well. The SS baffled mufflers have a shape similar to the track parts, but should attract less attention passing through the neighborhoods. It really is not uncomfortable to ride. MikeV
