Mike, It was great meeting you at the symposium and nice to hear you had a mostly uneventful cross country round trip. I personally owe you a big thanks for the assistance with the forensic reconstruction of my "Dr Dave" Harris TT windscreen and also the "It's ALL Lou's fault" stickers. Mark

Bill: I bought the big-wheel (12") version; it did tow well, and seemed even lighter over time. And by the way, the swingarm bolts and the shifter rod were tight when I left here. Mark: We are all glad you brought your TTs, even with the scuffs. It is Mike Weber and his friend Scott (nice TT2 replica) who are responsible for the "It's ALL Lou's fault" phrase and decals.

A while back there were some wondering about the source of the fender I used on this so-called TT900SS; I was never sure what it was. I think it could be from a modern Gilera Saturno; see photo. Looks very close, is for a 17-inch wheel, and appears to fit on some form of Marzocchi fork. Conveniently, there is a firm in Germany that reproduces this part, found on Page 16 of their catalog; provided by someone here in the search for an F1 seat. Hope this helps someone. Chapter 9: Well, finally working on the 900SS engine that was intended for this frame: ST2 cams; V2 cams cogs; H/C JE pistons; lightened, polished and balanced crank (Ben Fox); FBF titanium rods. Waiting for the lightened gears (Fast Frank) to follow. I thought the near-stock 800 was fun -- this might be frightening to me. MikeV Attachment:

Chapter 10: Well there has been a lot of double-clutching around here this year, but the real 900SS engine is now installed. Starts fine (second try, with chokes on), revs up, shifts, and even idles after it warms up. Pumps oil, no leaks, seems to run cool, and no strange noises. In a few weeks we will see how it runs on a track. MikeV Added a couple of photos to make Cranky and Pantah Good happy;UNI air filters in place. And rearranged the fuel plumbing --- much nicer. Where are you going to take it for it's maiden track day? I'm thinking about ORP on 6/12. Didn't see anything on the calendar interesting before that.

Hello Geoff. Long time no hear. I was thinking the MotoCorsa 5/19 trackday at PIR (boring) would be useful. Shorter hop for me, and probably more Ducati owners. MikeV
