So, did we ever come up with a replacement for the fork seals?
If not, is machining wiper/spacers from the originals the best approach?

TIA,
Rick

I purchased mine from Stien Dense in Germany. Ian at Italiaspares australia had some of the damper rod nylon type split rings if you need to replace them. I still have not found the stauntion bushes 40x44x20 - anyone else found these.

Hi Peter

the Yamaha VMX 1200 or V MAX from 85 to 92 had a 40mm fork and has bushings .

the part number of the upper bushing is 3JJ - 23125 - 00

i dont know exact dimensions but might be worth to look into

Regards Eldert

Hi Bill, I have not tried the Ariete seals... I am following this post on Facebook on the 750 F1 page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/266154810131375/

I suspect that you need both seals - 023 is the oil seal and 124 takes up the 10mm gap under the dust cap. Hopefully Ross will give us his conclusion soon.

Hi Guys, a fork query. I recently purchased Pyramid Parts product code 017 & 075 fork seal and dust seal kit for my f1 Laguna Seca. I went to fit them the other nite and they are completely wrong. The dust seal is an external type made to fit onto and in to the open end of the fork slider. Not into the screw on fork cap as in the LS's case.
So I ordered the recommended Ari.023 unfortunately this is also a no go as the height of the seal is 10mm and the gap between the fork upper and the underside lip of the fork cap when screwed all the way down is 10.5mm- 10.7mm(hard to measure acurately) ie the seal goes not seal against the topp surface of the fork leg. Previously i had fitted on O ring above the seal as a spacer to provide preload onto the seal, however this became dislodged over time as there is no internal edge to keep it in position. Anyone know of a source for the correct seal? Or do I make a 52x46x2mmspacer out of teflon or similar.

These are working for me, as original. Price is for one, not a pair.
