Post subject:  80's Tech?? inboard disc brakes?? - NOW Hand brake for rear

Hey.....
Anybody know anything about these?? In US I have never seen them, I guess these were on Euro Hondas?? What are they worth.....they sure have an unusual/cool look.....(sorry, not really Ducati content)

Clay, I think there off the mvx250 3 cylinder two stroke or maybe the vt250 four stroke of the same era. Seen them around town about the same time as jack and Diane. Boucher.

They were used early 80's on several (bigger) Honda Fours. Search for Inboard Ventilated Disc.
First tests gave those thumbs up for their response in very wet conditions (something we Brembo-ists were used to) but when fitted with sticky tires, overheating and fading became problems. And changing pads an nightmare. Just like the people of Campagnolo discovered a few years before with their Hydroconic wheel/brakes.
Maybe those inboard can be used to fool some tech-inspection at a local classic race ?

Thats cool too.....I have never seen one of these in the flesh. Would like to see what gearing or what the internals are like.

I've seen it from life, it works with a counter-rotating bevel gear, a clockwork gear!
