I now have my rechromed forks back and yes they are 38mm. I also have my recovered seat back and it has been reunited with the rear fairing. It's exciting when things start to come back together.
I've added a photo of the damage I did to the fork outer getting the seal out. I didn't notice the small crack when I was dismantling the fork. It will weld up OK I have been told prior to paint.

Otherwise the bike is in bits. The exhaust was damaged but I have had it re-welded. The nikasil lining of the front cylinder had come away and was junk. I have sourced a new barrel but it wasn't cheap!

I'll take some pictures of the ruined head and the new seat over the next couple of days. Next up is to go through the loom and fix. The engine has been dismantled and getting ready to go to painters. Have my long list of parts to buy from various places. And the frame and wheels are off being painted as we speak.
