Please pardon this noob-ish question, but I am only now getting my F1 sorted. Today I got the brakes working. Important things, brakes.
Is it normal for the standard 750 dry clutch to engage with the lever almost all the way to the handlebar?
Is it also normal to have very little engagement travel?
Is a slight screeching noise when first engaged (from cold) normal?
I bled the system to death after replacing the center of the clutch and am reasonably confident there is little if any air trapped inside. I also cleaned up the clutch plates and discs while the clutch was apart. Some of the motor-side plates were slightly blued and there is a small crack starting to develop in one of the metal discs, but the clutch seemed in reasonably good condition. The springs were equal height and appeared to be okay.
I am used to the dry clutch in my Morini, but it at least has slightly more travel. The F1 clutch seems less than I would expect, but this is my first F1.
