So the coil pickup replacement went well. Both cylinders firing but, I took it for a road test and I think there is either a ignition advance or fuel delivery problem. It gets up and going fine but when you go up a hill it just slows down, and it doesn't have near the acceleration it did. I did not take the carbs completely apart when I cleaned them. I blew b12 through the jets and they actually looked clean. I'm hesitant take the side cover off and check the bolts on the coil pickups. If those were loose I would expect a more violent or lack of ignition altogether. There is also some sort of detonation at the exhaust. there always was some on deceleration but there is more now. Most of the people I've talked to say to run a couple tanks of gas through it I just don't want to keep riding if it's hurting the motor. Any thoughts?

I just pulled my last insurance card and registration out of my motorcycle jacket. It's dated 2005.
