Hello all,
I have the heads apart on my 1987 F1. The cams are marked MV and OE. The manual shows two keyways on the horizontal cam and (I suppose) a corresponding groove in the cam worm gear. On this bike there is no second keyway and no slot in the worm gear. Does this make sense to anyone?
Thanks,
Gene Danyo

Yes, that is all stock, and that is the way most were. A few cams may have had the second groove, but without the added key and slot in the gear. By the way, the parts book also shows one of the cam bearings in the wrong place. MikeV

Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply. It's good to know that nothing's amiss. Hopefully, I'll have the bike ready to go by the beginning of racing season. I'm keeping the original Brembos, but I have a set of Marvics on order that I hope to see soon. As soon as I have some of this together, I'll post some pics.
Thanks again,
Gene Danyo
