Hi All,

My 1988 750 F1 is weeping oil at the neutral safety switch.

Any suggestions on where I can get a new one? Is it by any chance the same as the '90-'98 900SS? If the connector is different, I can deal with that. Mainly asking if the switch itself would be compatible.

I think mine always has, and may forever. Have you tried tightening it again? The only trick is to disconnect it so you can slip a 12-point box wrench over it. Don't remember the size; maybe 12 or 13mm? MikeV

If they can put an image with measures I can tell you something. :

The original switch P/N 067049750 was superseded to a new number: 53910071A, which is still available. I purchased one for my '86 about a month ago.
Clinton

Edit: the connectors haven't changed either.

Thanks all, I thought the 53910071A part might work, but wanted some more input before buying. ;)

Would have been a lot easier to replace a few months ago, when I still had the engine out.

Good tip on unplugging/box wrench.
