If your bike has the original red plastic Verlicchi bar ends, the bar end on outside of the left clip-on has a small hole drilled though it for venting the fuel tank. You can look at the parts book and see that it has a different part number from the right end, otherwise they are identical. The original vent hose also has a check valve stuffed into the inside of it near the fuel tank nipple to prevent fuel from escaping if you overfill the tank.
