greetings Dick,
thanks for the heads up on these Omegas.
elsewhere --- in another thread
i did not wish to hijack, but it
seems i might be on topic to ask
my question here:
is it possible to find a set of 18" (or 17") Astralite
wheels? is anyone re-producing these . . .

thanks

Alongside the 88mm pistons, Jim is also offering a braced aluminium TT2/TT1 swwinging arm on the UK version of eBay.

Astralite wheels have been out of production for quite a few years now. Production stopped as the aircraft-quality aluminium with which the wheels were built was no longer available, and seemingly it was hardly possible to finance a new supply of the stuff for just a few pair of wheels every month......................however Astralites turn-up every now-and-then on both the UK's and Germany's eBay. In fact the 18-inch wheels are generally more available

Good luck with your hunt!

During the time that I developed and built the 600cc and 750cc engines for Tony Rutter I only ever used Venolia pistons. Perhaps Tony uses Omega pistons in his current 750 cc Ducati F1 replica that he now uses for parading.

Omega make some very good pistons and during the 80's Ducati were given samples of their pistons.

Which Venolia pistons did you use Pat as their website only shows pistons for cars?
