Had a great track day at The Ridge in Shelton, WA on the 22nd. All went well till the 13-year old Harbor Fright modified trailer said "I'm worn out", and departed from the hitch while I was booking at 70 on the freeway heading home. This is what is left of my F1 after I watched it slide off to my left in a shower of sparks and end up on the white line on the right. No one hurt, no other vehicles involved, the safety chains worked, --- and it did not explode in a ball of fire! I will get it back together, but some of the small stuff is getting hard to find. Mike, now’s the time for those modifications you were thinking about...it can be rebuild stronger and faster. Boucher.

Jeez Mike, your breaking my heart with this one! Boucher is right! She'll be better, I built my F1 after some 'scratches'. Know that we are all here to help, I will start looking through some stuff tomorrow. Lou

Seeing the photos, it has given me great sadness. You are right with the small pieces, they are difficult to find, it is being very difficult for me to find

Man....that makes me sick....sorry to hear. If ya got to take it out....it would have been better while your boots are on!!! But glad no injuries or other complications. I assume no insurance, Ive always just carried liability on my toys.

Hi, I looked at the photos carefully, and for my humble opinion you can fix many things.
The fiberglass can be adjusted, the fork register can be removed and with the tig welder make a filling and then work it with a lathe and knurl.
Of course if you buy everything new it is much faster.
You can get the tank back up by removing the fuel tap and with a long round head rod, tap it from the inside, then of course it will be plastered and painted.
Come on to work, just cry ..... if you were with tibia and fibula in the hospital it was worse!

Thanks for the upbeat advise Carlo, but you have not seen my aluminum welding. Did you call me, or the bike, a Porky Pig?

Honestly, if anyone has one of those FI adjuster knobs laying around I would pay you handsomely for it.
