The July/August issue of this still-small publication has an article by Dain Gingerelli about the F1A. Nice example and layout. As so often, the history and details are muddied and questionable (I do not think the Oscam wheels are magnesium!). But nice to see some print on this. It is certainly a thing of beauty, especially compared to the Hesketh in the same issue. MikeV

You could argue about that but there is a small amount of magnesium in the alloy.
Although more info is being sharedf over the web, there also is a lot of misinformation about bikes of the 70's and 80's.
I sent Some mails to different mags here in europe but never got a reply or respons.
Good to have Some knowledgeable people "closeby" :D :D

ciao

Some of the factory racing F1's had 3 spoke wheels that I am sure were magnesium and had Oscam decals. That being said they look just like Marvics. Lou

Lou, they are writing about the street F1a, I think. No way, Jose, are they mags.

Then, the article does wander around a bit, and sometimes it is hard tell what is being described.
