Red is good, think 53's a little big for the stock carbs though. I just stumbled across the others and thought I'd throw the links up. Know nothing else about them, just that they looked about right.

Hey Bill,

Are those filters any good? Are they any better or worse than k&n's? I ask because I have an old pair of those style filters that came with my race Pantah. I think they might be Malossi's?

Is this your homework, Larry? Is this your homework, Larry?

Dave,
The lack of a come back is getting me concerned that your questions were legit. I thought they were a rather good tongue in cheek reply because I had just posted I knew nothing about them, hence my absurd Lebowski quote. I need to work harder at not thinking, no blow-off intended.

Did not even make the connection to Lebowski. Now if you had said "Shut the F up Donnie." I would have gotten that.

My question was legit. A couple of different sets of air filters came with my bike. 2 sets of k&n's and a set of plastic filters. The k&n's are a bit of a squeeze where the plastic are much slimmer, but if they are crap I will just stick to the k&n's. If you don't know, no problem, I will just have to experiment.

What? You forgot about little Larry Sellers in North Hollywood near the In-and-Out Burger on Camrose or Radford?

I'm partial to K&N's or Uni's for no scientific reason. I did talk filters over with Bruce Meyers a long time ago about a bevel I had, and I remember he was saying it was hard to get K&N's big enough that would fit in and that would flow enough air. And there is even less space available on a Pantah. On my old F1B the air cleaner foam was disintegrating so I got some Uni sheet foam and glued together a couple cone shaped filters to fit inside the stock holders, which worked fine for the street. We have always run w/o air filters on our Pantah race bikes, which gives Mr. Crankyroller fits, but the dyno's happy. Last fall he actually gave me a set of screened velocity stacks to use on my Harris. To humor him, I suppose I should at least try them. At my relaxed pace, it's completely irrelevant anyway.
