I,m looking to fit a pair of wheels to my Montjuich for racing,to give a better choice of tyre.Any ideas on which is the best route to take as I want to run a160/170 rear by 17,maybe 18.But don't want to go down the £2000 plus road.Jap bike maybe,? Any thoughts appreciated.

You're about to open a real can of worms there Ian. Something that's expensive is going to have to change. Maybe a set of aluminum three spoke Ducati wheels, but those are heavy and set up for 320 rotors.

I think I,ll struggle Bill,i want to keep the originals for re fit,but the age and lack of good rubber makes them unsuitable for race use.I was thinking something from 600/750 jap sportbikes with 5 or 6 spokes might be the way I,ll have to go.I,m not keen on the paso or later Ducati style.

Wheels of a kawasaki Zephyr 750 1993-1994 have three spoke Dymag style wheels with 110 and 150 width.
Chain is on the left side, so that's easy.
Floating discs available (if they aren't already fitted)
They have fitted Tecnomagnesio-Marchesini 5-spokes-type on some Zephyrs.

Suzuki GSX-F 600 wheels (monster-style 3-spokes) should also be easily available and have also the chain on the left side.
Since those nippon-wheels are fairly large , they tend to use shallow discs, not like the "deep" Brembo floaters.

I've seen a few Allazuras fitted with CBR600 wheels. I don't know how much trouble they are to fit though. I imagine most anything will need bearing/spacer alteration. It is my understanding the Ducati SS wheels are pretty simple to adapt. I put a whole 900 front end on my F1, it bolts right on as the head bearings are the same.

CARLO I have a set of New Enkeis that are mounted on a Alluzura project ..I am not going to use...new F rotors also
