Swing arm pin keeper onner installed, and it's on to the dyno. The dyno chart is the last file, hope it can be opened. If not I'll try another way. Robbie won with it by a mile in it's first P-89 race.

Morning Bill. I believe Moto Guzzi used the same material (wood) for something on the famous V8 500cc GP racer, or other racers in the 1950s. What is the story on the swingarm keeper/end caps? MikeV

Hi Mike,
The pins on both Walter and Mr. Dude were working their way out while being ridden. Cranky/Mike Weber did a much more elegant fix on his bike. His whole bike is much more elegant....but, I'm still waiting to see it actually ON the track.

Hi Brad,

That is a strong motor. I know the basics, but I'm really not the one who should be talking about it to someone who is an engine builder. I'm just a chassis peon. Bruce Meyers built the motor last winter, and it's possible he may not be revealing all his tricks. Bruce likes building race engines for Robbie and takes good care of him. Mike Weber (Cranky Roller), who does know a thing or two, talked it over with Bruce before he and Robbie took it to the dyno (I couldn't go that day). Mike jetted it in and was playing with air filtration, but it didn't like anything back there. Mike - jump in here please.

Mr. Cranky was/is a very helpful consultant on this project. Thankfully he came up with a possible reason why it was only running on one cylinder when we initially got it running, which was driving us crazy. He provided a known good set of Kokusan wires from the pick ups to the boxes, to check the polarity of each of the two wires as they were positioned in their nylon plug-in holders. Sure enough, one set was inadvertently switched at some point.
