Replica/retro build of a Ducati 750 F1 Laguna Seca. Not An Original. It is now numbered, titled, and registered as a 1988 Ducati (DUCA) 750 by the State of Oregon.

This bike was built on a 1988 F3 400 frame, which is identical to the Laguna Seca frame. It was assemble by the owner using either NEW, NOS, or good used parts that were rebuilt and renovated as needed. Completed in 2016, and has only enough miles on the road to test its running and performance.

Frame is powder-coated Bavarian Silver. NOS F1B tank and Laguna Seca fairing kit with all new attachments. Good used solo seat. NOS Paso 750 front fender. Buyer will be given NOS (and now scarce) correct mirrors and red bar ends.

Marzocchi 41.7mm M1R forks in modified F1 triple clamps. 851 clipons.

Good Verlicchi F1 swingarm, for wider rear wheel, was re-anodized.

1980s-era Tecnomagnesio magnesium wheels painted in epoxy; 3.25" front and 5.5" rear. These used wheels were free of corrosion; they have not been tested.

300mm SS and Aluminum new replicas of Brembo floating front discs of the era. 220mm Brembo original floating disc at the back on caliper bracket with a trailing rod.

851 NOS four puck Brembo pistons at the front, compatible Brembo at rear. SS brake and clutch lines; rubber line used on rear caliper to prevent abrasions. New master cylinders front and rear.

Engine has a set of NOS F1B heads and new valves. 40mm Dellorto carbs with accelerator pumps disengaged and flip-up chokes. Malossi manifolds matched to slightly enlarged ports. Camshafts are 900SS set at 109 degrees lobe centers. Good set of F1B pistons and cylinders installed. NOS Conti black chrome exhaust system. Lower end and all components are from a 750 sport in excellent condition, with new rod bearings, seals, and gaskets. Light aluminum flywheel. Kokusan ignition and coils. NOS Montjuich lightened clutch outer basket with new plates. Vented clutch cover of the era. 750 Sport oil cooler and lines. This engine is not stressed, or over-built, but it will pull to 9000 RPM with ease.

See build in Bike Build of the Year section of this site as Laguna Seca Clone. Many details changed as worked progressed.

Asking Price is $13,950. Would prefer to sell in the USA. Will assist with shipping, but seller to make arrangements and payment.
