Post subject:  Wanted 280mm brake rotors

I am in the process of doing a wheel swap on my bevel drive Darmah. I took the old 4 bolt Campagnolo's off and had a spare set of FPS 6 bolt wheels refurbed. I was planning on drilling and tapping the FPS to accept the old 4 bolt rotors, but much to my surprise the 4 and 6 bolt rotors have different offsets. D'oh! Oh well, live and learn.

Does anyone have a pair of 6 bolt rotors they would be willing to part with? I would be happy with either version, one piece cast iron or the two piece with the aluminum carrier and cast rotor. I do have a set of aluminum carriers, so if someone had just a set of the two piece rotors minus carriers, that would work as well. I know they make stainless rotors, but I wanted to see if there was any used original stuff floating around out there before I went that route.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, I make a replica of the 280 floating Brembo's using an iron rotor.
I also make small batches of carriers with a pilot centre hole in offsets from 20mm through to 40mm. The pilot bore allows me to machine the mounting hole pattern and hub register before assembly to suit almost any combination of wheel/caliper/fork/hub width, and still retain the Brembo appearance.
Have a look on the website and email me if you are interested. They are in stock.

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at both Carlo's and Glyn's site. The brake rotors are beautiful, but overkill for the cruising I do on the Darmah. Ian G. ended up have a set of the one piece SS style rotors and they are one their way as we speak. As a bonus, the current exchange rate between AU an US dollars made the purchase not too harsh on the wallet.
