No help on these from the 851/888 forum, or Ian for that matter. They would be an elegant solution for the 16" tire issue for some lucky Montjuich or Santamonica owner though. Where is Lou when we need him?? Bill

Got a reply from Ian, and as only he can phrase....."Just something Marvic made to keep somebody happy."
Yes indeed.

Like Speedmade said, these are F1 designs: front wheel has the bigger bolt pattern for the disk, not the more contemporary small pattern, and the cush is the older bevel/pantah/F1 version, not the six-bolt six-rubber one used by the 888/900/ST3 for the last 20 years or so. My photos of a Superlight show the modern cush drive behind the sprocket. These are wheels unique. MikeV

They sold, one bid, hope someone on here got them and gives their Montjuich a new lease on life. Cranky looked at them and thought they might be a combination of the old school hubs and new school rims. Anyone know if the two can just bolt up? Was a fix for the problems they had come up with so they could be used safely? I think Ian's explanation is best - they're specials. And, very cool. Bill
