Hi Bill, there is a Marchesini Rear Disc Brake on UK Fleabay! The ebay number is:2311 3575 7343. The item is for fairly late Ducatis, and from what I can see, is one-piece, and not floating. Buy it now price is £35, so not TOO exhorbitant............!!! Good luck! Poison |

Thanks guys. Going to visit Robbie and Bruce next week, and while at Robbies' I'll finally get to check to see if the 240mm blade assembly fits in the caliper and hanger assembly. Bill |

Yesterday found the rear disc of a Aprilia AF125 (the first single-sided swingarm) which is the same diameter as the broken one I showed. They were made from the same piece, difference is in the floating of one and the other is fixed. You could machine the fixed rotor to accept buttons as it fits snugly around the aluminium inner part. Thickness is +6 mm so no worries there. ciao ducadini |

Thank you ducadini, that's good info, and I found it on an Aprilia parts site. I think you are working harder on this than I am, and I appreciate your help. The trip to Robbie's got postponed until these damn extremely cold polar vortexes take a break and I can trial fit the 240 one. Maybe this Friday, I'll let you know. Thanks again, Bill |

I thought this started off at 230mm. When did it get bigger? Is this a fishing story? MikeV |

Indeed it started as a 230 mm issue. I had the same carrier but with a 240 mm disc, and later found the fixed type (which can be machined to floating). Searched the Brembo catalogue but couldn't find anything closer to 230 mm (floating) discs. So, digged some deeper and found a Brembo rear disc (fixed) for a Bimota (no type mentioned) 08.2656.15 As far as I can measure (on screen) it could be machined to fit the inner carrier. Did anyone find a list with Brembo discs (with dimensions) ? ciao ducadini |

Well, the 240 dia. blade doesn't fit. Now I guess it's time to talk to my machinist about turning it down to 230. Bill |

Ok, it's been nipped and tucked. The 240 blade is now 230+, had my machinist stop short of an interrupted cut, and I opened the outer rain holes up to a polished 90 degree vee. The o.d. should now fit, and I'm comfortable with using it. I'd put it on my bike in a heart beat. Anybody see a problem with using this rotor? Bill
