Hi all,
Not sure my heap of parts qualifies as a F1, but i might as well present it.
when the f1 was new i was a student , and there was no way i could afford one.
i never actually bought one afterwards, ( i bought a bunch of guzzi's and cagiva's instead)
but a couple of years ago i saw a bare F1 frame on the Attic of a motorcycle shop, and couldn't resist the opportunity.
if i've got a frame i might as well build a low budget F1 myself.
so the last couple of years i have slowly been collecting parts.
the parts stash now consists of
- the frame
- all the bodywork
- 900ss dashboard
- front forks ( not decided yet, either a paioli upside down , or a conventional 40 mm FI
- swing arm and ohlins shock,
- a set of marvic wheels and assorted brakes
- 750 paso engine,
- 650 alazurra as a donor bike for the rest of the parts.
this sounds too easy doesn't it?
first problem to be solved is how to fit alazurra heads on the oil cooled paso engine....
that is where the fun starts.
