Hi all, I decided to register here after lurking for a month. I came here from the Loudbike blog.

I still have the F1B I built from the crate back in '87. I was working part time at a dealership, and we had sold an F1A the year before. It was so nice, I told my buddy the owner of the shop that if he got another one in, I would probably buy it. I was lucky he was able to get one, and I bought it the day after we assembled it.

I rode it for 2 or 3 months, and promptly sold both of my Bevels, an '80 Darmah and an '80 900SS. The 900SS had hot cams and 38mm Dellortos with Conti mufflers. The F1 would walk all over it. Stock. I eventually ended up with some No. 4 cams from Jimmy in the F1. I should have installed some big valves when I did that, but I digress.

I was living in Ohio at the time, and toured and raced the F1. But the most fun I had with it were the DOCC track days at Mosport back in '89-'91.

I drug it to West TN with me many years ago, but it's languished in the back of the shed for a long time. I ride my M900 and my old GL1500 more nowadays.

But I suppose it's time to get it out, dust it off, treat it to a carb clean and some new belts and maybe a new frock (fresh paint). I would like to take it to Barber in October for The Gathering.

I hope some of what was lost in the recent board crash can be re-posted. The was a lot of good information there....

Hope to see some of you at Barber later this year.

-Dan
