Sad news, I was hopeful that I could get Pete and his old steed back together for a reunion. RIP Pete! Godspeed.
Cal she is ready to go, I will wait until spring now to get her running and hopefully fit a little test.

Well it’s been awhile since I posted an update. Double checked timing and pickup connections, good spark, fresh fuel and battery charged ready to start up! Hopefully tomorrow is the day

Good luck.......the sweet sound of a straight head pantah.....there just isnt much that makes a better noise. Hopefully the neighbors dont mind if you shake their windows and set off the car alarms

I feel your pain. Last year I installed a hub on an engine with what appeared to be a new sprague. It was, but it was installed backwards. Only after I had closed things up did I catch it. Simple reversal of the sprague after another dis-assembly of everything on the left side. Never enough laughs. MikeV
