Brilliant! 1st breath is always a riot. So, how 'bout some details? Cams, cam timing, etc.. Sounds wonderful - Congrats!

Hi Steve
Thanks for asking but the specs on the cams are a bit sketchy at this point but they are a set made by Brooke Henry and are meant to be a copy of the NCR No:7 but with a slight improvement the FU#@ing really work and it will rev its Tits of at this point they have just been set up on lobe centres but can be adjusted via a set of Brookes pulleys when we get a chance to run it and see where we need to go. we have run them in the past with a fair bit of advance to try and recover the bottom end but I think we needed a better exhaust to help with the breathing and the one on the bike now should do the trick I have run this motor in my pantah on the road before this rebuild and it was very very quick but now with corrillo rods Hi comp single ring pistons good squish and some other work I am hoping for a bit more HP but time will tell. Sorry I cant offer any more at this time but maybe a pick or two will tease you!!! be very observant? :ugeek:
Regards Al

I am going to go out on a limb here and say its finished but I am sure that some small thing will need to be revisited and of course it has to be ridden and that will open a hole new can of worms?
This has been a replica project that has tested my patients and taught me a lot about the bike and the ins and outs of a tt2 I have been very fortunate to have had an authentic and very original and largely unmolested (except for its racing bruises) tt2 at my disposal to use as a reference and I thank the owner of this bike for the privilege. He has allowed me to remove and replace parts when needed so I can replicate them and I have done so with respect to the model and have been in most cases able to replicate the parts to as near as possible to the originals some of these parts are as follows foot pegs and levers, tacho/oil cooler/fairing bracket from chrome moly, rear brake torque arm (thanks Pete smith), front fender bracket, exhaust system, stickers and many other small bits and pieces to make it all come together. So at this point a Big thanks goes to all the people who have helped and encouraged me to stay true to this and keep it as close to original as possible even during the times I thought bugger this lets just throw it together with what I have well as the saying goes good things come to those that wait and they did the necessary parts did eventually become available and were purchased with gusto some locally some donated and some from the net. Anyway I thinks its an accurate replica and for those of you that are able and interested I will have it at the Barry Sheen festival of speed at Eastern Creek in the show and shine so come and say Hi I would love to meet some of you!

Thanks very much Mike I am glad it brings pleasure to people other than myself. May I also say that although I have raced and worked on bikes most of my life this is the first time I have tried anything this extravagant and with this attention to detail I know its not perfect but its damned close and to finally call it finished was a very emotional moment for me so thanks again regards Alan.
PS sorry for the shitty pics I took with my phone will post some better ones soon !!!
