*** CONFIRMED LEGAL FOR CLASSIC MANX TT ***
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to a change of plans, my beautiful Ducati F1 replica is up for grabs !

As an authentic replica of the Ducati TT F1 Factory Endurance racers of 1985-86 it was originally built for Post Classic racing until we decided to race instead in the ThundersportGB Golden Era series. Having secured front row starts throughout the year and with podiums at Anglesey, Oulton and a win at Mallory Park against late 90's superbikes, it has proved itself to be a competitive machine...it has also won races at Aintree in the Pre-Injection Open class and also Forgotten Era races.

Currently residing in DMC Preston in the showroom.

Chassis
JD Racing TT F1 frame and swingarm. The swingarm has the ribs and profile of the original bikes. We havent seen one replica with this detail in and the swingarm is exactly how they were.
43mm Kayaba forks with full race internals
Showa re-valved rear shock
17 x 3.5 Dymag fronts, R6 rear 5.5 wheels.

Engine
JD racing tuned and built
Heavily re-worked inlet ports with custom manifolds.
Ducati ST2 camshafts (longer duration)
Vernier cam pulleys
Omega pistons and Carrillo rods (944cc)
Shortened crank on ignition side with slimmer ignition cover (by 40mm)
Lightened flywheel (used for pick up only)
Lightened timing gears
748/ 916 coils
Ignitech TCIP4 ignition
JD racing 50mm header, 2-1 system with 60mm titanium silencer (103db)
Large crank breather box (large volume with one way valve on the exit)
Oversize oil cooler

Spares
Engine cases, crank, cylinders, some internals
Wets on wheels
Sprockets, levers etc
Footpegs
Spare 38mm small bore Akropvic silencer (102db)

Other
Power 104hp (DTS dyno)
Weight 138kg, with oil and a bit of fuel

Full technical back up always available to the buyer if needed.

The bike is advertised elsewhere, so could be removed ay any time.

Good price John ;) - 'Worth it! And I doubt that any of the Jap bikes you competed against fetch anything like that.
Does anyone here now own it? You now own something pretty special.

Who ever bought the bike has indeed obtained a real nice bit of kit,and should be very proud and satisfied, the work to build and detail was first class. I myself was in the bidding, but due to the regs for the classic tt,and the changing rules to suit the big teams,i purchased a spare r6 mayaha for my son to race.No doubt I,ll regret missing the Ducati, but if the regs sort themselves,i,ll probably have to go down the route of a Roy Thersby fi frame kit and build my own.Roy produces some fantastic bikes and what he doesn,t know aint worth knowing. In the short term,i,ll use the Montjuich for the race with suitable wheels and tyres. The rear facing exhaust is the only obstacle on the big engines, who does a mod on these to front exit?

Thanks athletic,i,d forgot about redfox, must be my age!. I bought pistal pistons from them earlier this year for the tt2 and the service was first class. I,m starting to get itchy feelings now about pulling parts together to build a 900+ f1. Thanks for jogging my memory.

No worries Ian. Can you please post some pics of your racing Montjuich? Nice to hear of one being fired up in anger.

At present,it sits as a standard Montjuich apart from the rear footrest hangers been cut off. A race fairing is to be ordered and the 17 wheels have been sorted. I,ll see if my daughter can show some pics of it and the tt2 as raced,i,m a one finger computer guy who needs to look at the buttons before I press them!! The bike should be taken to a track early 2014,it,s sat in the garage too long,it needs some fresh air.

Its what i expected it to go for..we was told it was worth a lot more so i was under the impression a while back it would fetch somewhere near what everyone else asks for for their Reps, especially as ours is one of the quickest (if not the quickest racing in the UK). But lets be honest any replica is really made of parts from lots of other machines these days. Thats all they are, Replicas.
But we didnt make it to get rich, we made it because we liked the idea of it :-)

The bloke who won it has had some issues getting the money together, so i dont know whats going to happen. If I keep it, I need to get more power..but doubt I could find much more.

Hey ho, on the bright side its coming up to Christmas, haha !
